Edited to add: Thanks to Karen! Customer Service Wizard! She
got the IT tech people to increase the session time to one hour
(of inactivity or typing posts, I presume) before you are logged
off/timed out. That's plenty of time. Thanks!!!!!
I see, with the new board, we are back to an old annoyance of being
logged off WHILE typing a long post, without our knowledge......hitting
submit, only to find out you have to log back in....and your long post is
lost! The problem was eventually resolved before, I believe by changing
or disabling the automatic, time-prompted log-off.
I try to remember to copy my posts before I hit submit, so I can just
paste them in and submit when I log back on....but you know by now that
I often write long posts and don't remember to copy it every time...it is a
PAIN to lose it and have to start over. Don't suggest shorter posts...I am
hopeless in that area.
When we had this problem before I asked the administrator if she
could get the IT people to add a feature that warned you to copy
your post because you were logged out....BEFORE hitting submit
took you to the login page and erased your post....or change the
process so that the post is saved and still there when you log back
in. Is either of those solutions an option?
Getting logged off by the site while you are simply typing a long
post is a HUGE pain in the booty.
Thanks....Happy Halloween!
Love and Peace,
Glenn

Thanks for changing the board colors. Just TWO more things on my wish list. And IGNORE feature, and possibly combining appreciation threads/or having them in a separate forum? Thanks! And * hint, hint* Christmas IS coming! |

Suggesting Appreciation threads be put in a separate Forum! That would be so Nice and Unclog the board....because these threads have taken over the board and make Discussion about the Actual show very Frustrating! |

I agree, a separate section for appreciation threads would be great.
There are people who greats multiple alias to appreciate or worship they favorite or couple with no real propose and this people are taking the board over, that makes it difficult to discuss old or new topics because they go down so fast that it is difficult to find them in between the bumping.
And this same people take the opportunity to take former discussion threads with a particular character or couple name in it and make them another worship and appreciation threads.
I hope there is a solution for this problem that contents all people.
Thank you in advance. |

There seems to be a struggle to the death between fanbases ~ but what's dying is the board ~ threads that try to discuss the show are simply smothered by the sheer volume of these multiple threads (you hardly ever see discussuion threads because they are pushed to pages 2 or 3 so rapidly due to these "appreciation "/spam threads in their various guises) ....this is what is driving most posters away in droves ~
even those those who break the rules and are banned return under new aliases not once or twice but four, five, six times and are back to spamming over and over again.....most just want to enjoy posting about the show, not deal with all this ~ they just give up and go away imo |

I like the appreciation threads and I say they should say right where they are and they do NOT need a separte forum |

Well, if the Appreciation threads stay on the main board....how about
a separate board or forum for those who want to have more meaty
discussions without having their threads pushed down and off the page
by the "I love so-and-so" threads? |
